2.1 Location Data
With your explicit consent, we may collect and process your location information to:
Match you with nearby job opportunities
Provide location-based job recommendations
Enable location-based features and services
Improve our job matching algorithms
Ensure compliance with local employment regulations
You can control location permissions through your device settings and can revoke access at any time. We only collect location data when you actively use location-based features.
2.2 Google Calendar
If you are a worker and optionally connect your Google account from the Calendar page, we request read-only Google Calendar access (calendar.readonly) so we can see when you are busy.
What we read: free/busy time ranges on your primary calendar (when you are busy vs free).
What we do not read or store: event titles, descriptions, attendees, location details, or email contents.
How we use it: we compare busy times to the usual hours you set on I Can Work On and mark overlapping days as unavailable so employers do not book you when you are already busy.
Storage: we store only the resulting availability flags (free / busy / unavailable days) on our servers, not your full Google Calendar.
Access token: Google access is used briefly to sync; we do not sell calendar data.
Your control: connecting is optional. You can refuse, skip, or disconnect later by removing I Can Work On access in your Google Account permissions, and by clearing busy sync on your Calendar page.
I Can Work On’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We do not share your Google Calendar event contents with employers or other third parties.
Mobile / SMS: We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Transactional texts (team invites and shift confirmation requests) may be sent through our SMS provider solely to deliver those messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
