Photography Video Production Editing Social Media Podcast Production

Media work is booked in day rates and half days, which makes it unusually well suited to a direct marketplace. A client knows they need a photographer on the 14th; a photographer knows the 14th is open. The only thing an intermediary adds to that transaction is cost.

Postings cover event and commercial shoots, ongoing content production for brand channels, and post-production work for people who shoot their own footage but cannot edit it.

How hiring works here

  1. Build one profile. Your skills, credentials and availability live in a single place, so you never rewrite a resume for an individual listing.
  2. Get matched to open work. Employers post directly and you are matched against your stated availability, often within minutes for urgent coverage.
  3. Agree terms and keep everything. You settle the rate with the employer. No commission is deducted at any point, by either side.

Media jobs: common questions

Do I need my own equipment?

For photography and videography, almost always yes, and postings state whether gear is expected. Editing and social media roles are the exception, since those usually only require your own workstation and software.

How are shoots priced?

By half day or full day for on-location work, and hourly or per project for post-production. Usage and licensing terms are negotiated separately and can materially change the total.

Is there ongoing work or only one-off shoots?

Both. Event work is inherently one-off, but brand content production, social media management and podcast editing are usually recurring monthly arrangements.

Can I list a travel radius for on-location work?

Yes. You set the geographic area you are willing to cover, and location-based postings outside it will not be matched to you.
